Pictures along 97 Street

Well, first thing I learned was it may not be worth doing a rushed shoot, even if you are practising. We raced home from ballet picked up my husband, then rushed over to 97th Street (one of the most popular spots for fall pictures in Edmonton). Girls ran around, didn't care about listening to mommy who was holding a camera. So really no good ones of Gabby and just a few of Ariana! Oh well, it was worth it to learn that lesson I guess :)

Fall Pictures

A week ago my girls were playing in the leaves on their Babcia's lawn (polish for grandma!) and I took the opportunity to take some pictures. Most of the shots I got were action shots, just snapping away while they were playing, but a few of them are posed (sort of!).

My First EVER Blog!

As many who know me well know that I have been a stay at home mom since summer of 2007. In these past 3 years I have provided childcare in my own home and in March 2010 I started an evening part-time job. In these past three years I have been soul searching and trying to figure out what I want to do in my life and what my passion is.

About 6 months ago I was interested in pursuing photography, but was scared, intimidated and put the idea out of my head and onto the back burner. Since my dayhome closed in July I have been doing more soul searching and my passion for taking photos and capturing 'the moment' was sparked once again. This time I am not as scared or as intimidated and I am super excited to learn and experience this beautiful art.

I don't have high expectations as I know it takes time, patience and A LOT of practice to become a photographer. But I do have high hopes, dreams and enthusiasm with where this could lead.

I will be posting pictures as I begin my journey and I appreciate any and all comments, good or bad! This is how I learn best!
